In Los Angeles, Kristen studied with Patrick Strong for thirteen years, in his Strasberg Method weekly class. Patrick had been Lee Strasberg’s Teaching Assistant for many years, during the time Lee taught at The Actor’s Studio West. They utilized Strasberg’s format of Sensory, Relaxation and Scene work, and Kristen credits Strasberg Method as being her core Acting foundation, and what all her work was based upon.

The Kristen Shaw Acting Studio was started in 2011, to provide Atlanta Actors the same caliber of intensive and on going training that is found in NY and Los Angeles. KSAS is designed to be a Home for Working Actors, and a safe place for them to continually stretch and grow. Mastering your craft is a lifelong process for the Actor, and one that we believe needs to be supported and encouraged every step of the way.
Kristen has been teaching classes and providing personal coaching, career strategy and audition technique for over 10 years. She has helped many actors go on to Film, Television and Starring Roles on Broadway. Her on-going classes in On Camera Audition Technique, Strasberg Method Film Acting, and Living the Actor’s Life, have helped many actors achieve their goals, at many levels.
She is represented by People Store.
